We've Got Class(es)
Are you interested in learning to knit or crochet or just improve on your current skills?   Would you like to learn a new technique? Or do you and a group of knitters want to "design your own class"?  Please call the shop at 262-641-7427 to see what we can do for you.
 
Learn all the basic techniques to set you on the road for a lifetime of knitting.  Enjoy the relaxed and supportive atmosphere amongst fellow knitters.  Begin with a small project and after that, there is no limit!

Felted Knit Bag

Carol Knott will be teaching
a sock class called "My first sock"
on Friday between 11-1pm on April 9, 16, and 23rd.  Call the shop to sign up.  


Sylvia Geraldson will teach a felted bag class.  The Marachino Cherry Noni Bag can be knit by a  beginner or  intermediate knitter.   Quick! & Fun!  She will teach you felted flowers too.  Check out the class sample in the store.  The classes will be held on Fridays from 4:00 to 5:00pm. on April 16, April 23 and April 30.   $35.00 for 3 - 1 hour sessions. 
Sylvia also will be teaching Beginning knitting (or if you haven't touched needles in a very long time.)  Sylvia teaches Continental style knitting which is sometimes by hand-knitters, to be more efficient as the method, requires the shortest number of specific hand-motions per stitch.

In Three
sessions you will  learn how to cast on, cast off, knit, purl  and how to determine a gauge.  You will be able to make texting gloves (fingerless mitts) and or a scarf using another stitch which I will teach you called the "twisted sister".

$35.00 for 3 one hour sessions
Mondays
Maximum class size is 4 knitters
Bring your own needles (size 8 or 9) and yarn or purchase materials at the River Boutique before class at a discount. 


"Taste" knitting on Mondays and Thursdays!  If you are a beginner, or learned many lifetimes ago, stop in for a half hour on Monday with Sylvia or Thursdays with Mary Pat and they will work with you to help you try knitting before committing to a formal class.  Knitting 101 classes are offered on Mondays and Thursdays ($10/hour).  Contact the shop to sign up.


Ann Martin will teach a sweater class.   This Central Park Hoodie is a classic.    Class time is 6:30 - 8:30 on Tuedays, April 13, 20, 27, May 4, May 18 and May 25. The class will be limited to 6 people and will cost $70.00 which includes the pattern.

Mary Pat Shandor will be teaching Beginning knitting (or if you haven't touched needles in a very long time.)  Mary Pat teaches the right-hand knitting or throwing which is a style of knitting where the yarn about to be knit into the item is carried in the right hand.
