Are you interested in learning to knit or crochet or just improve on your current skills?   Would you like to learn a new technique? Or do you and a group of knitters want to "design your own class"?  Please call the shop at 262-641-7427 to see what we can do for you.  For the most current class schedules for beginner knitting and prjoect specific classes, please sign up for the newsletter.
 
Learn all the basic techniques to set you on the road for a lifetime of knitting (or crocheting!).  Enjoy the relaxed and supportive atmosphere amongst fellow knitters.  Begin with a small project and after that, there is no limit!

Beginning Knitting 101:


If you never picked up knitting needles, but always wanted to . . .this class is for you!  The basics of knit, cast on and bind off will be taught.  Some pattern reading, gauge and yarn selection will also be covered.  The class consists of 3 one-hour sessions.   All supplies. for the class, this includes yarn, needles and a hat pattern are available at a 20% discount.
Cost $45 plus supplies at 20% off

Fair Isle Beginner Class

Make this beautiful hat as you learn the details of fair isle knitting.  Knitting experience required.

Beginner and/or Advanced Beginner Crochet Class
Learn how to chain, single, double, half double and triple crochet.  You will make squares with different stitches that can be put together for a sampler or scarf.

CLASS POLICIES

  • Class fees must be paid in full when you register.
  • Class fees may be refundable with one week's notice
  • Class fees must be paid in cash or check only--directly to the instructor
  • Sign up for classes in person at the check out desk
  • Missed class time is the student's responsibility and no refunds will be issued.
  • Yarn and materials for classes and workshops may be purchased at the River Boutique with a 20% discount
  • You will be notified by phone of a date change or cancellation
  • On site help is always free.  Private lessons may be arranged for $30/hour and must be paid when scheduled.
"Taste" knitting on Mondays.  If you are a beginner, or learned many lifetimes ago, stop in for a free 15-20 minute mini-session before committing to  Knitting 101.  Contact the shop to sign up for any of the formal classes.
